Ethereal Movement

An element i've become somewhat fascinated by lately, is movement.

The beauty I see in it. The strength I see in it.

The way we as humans react to the world around us.

The language that our body speaks.  I think we communicate much more clearly through movement rather than words sometimes.

As a photographer, I spend a great deal of time studying movement. Watching people as they relate to their immediate environments.

Boudoir presents an interesting platform for this. Inviting people into an experience where they are naturally vulnerable, and trying to help them let their bodies take over. Similar to our yoga practices.

Capturing movement in people’s lives seems to me like capturing the essence of who they are. It’s a goal I’m adopting in my work for 2016, to capture honest movement. To ease my clients into moving naturally.
