Art + Motherhood
Painting has been a special part of my life since I was a child. My grandfather was a painter. I remember sitting underneath his easel in the den, listening to his brush strike the canvas, watching him and knowing he was in an entirely other world.
I’d witness a blank canvas become a visual story, and there was simply nothing more magical than that.
Before I became a mother, I had visions of painting with my little ones one day. Letting them explore with the textures, watch the colours blend together, and create something from their hearts with no expectations.
It’s these masterpieces that continue to adorn the walls of my home and soul.
The work of the mother is one of there greatest creative pursuits of our lifetime.
