Holding Summer
Something I know to be true is this: time does not wait.
Not for your chores to be finished, your bills to be paid, your dream home to be purchased, your renovation to be complete, or your kitchen to be tidy.
Too often, we convince ourselves that life will feel more beautiful on the other side of something. When things are calmer. When the house is finished. When work slows down. When the kids are older.
But while we're waiting, life is quietly unfolding around us.
Photography has taught me to slow down and notice the beauty that already exists in the ordinary. The light spilling across the kitchen table. Sandy feet at the back door. Sticky popsicle hands. The sound of laughter drifting through an open window. These are the moments that become the stories we miss most.
I created Holding Summer as a gentle invitation to pause. To notice this season while you're still living it. Through thoughtful prompts and quiet reflection, I hope it helps you preserve the moments that matter, not because they were perfect, but because they were yours.
